News!Chinese "Green Card",It's not as hard as you think!【中国绿卡】

中国“绿卡”是外国人永久居留证的俗称，是获得永久居留资格的外国人在中国境内居留的合法身份证件。

获得永久居留权的外国人在投资、购房、申领驾照、银行开户和入学等方面享有与中国公民类似的权利。

The Chinese "Green Card" is the common name for a permanent residence permit for foreigners, which is a legal identity document for foreigners who have obtained permanent residence status to stay in China.

Foreigners who have obtained permanent residency enjoy similar rights as Chinese citizens in terms of investment, home purchase， opening a bank account, applying for a driver's license and school enrollment.

今天我们将详细说明中国永久居留权的条件，主要有以下五个主要类型：

Today we will elaborate on the requirements for applying for a Chinese green card. There are five main categories as below: 

海外华人类

（一）具有博士学历的华人

  1. 具有博士研究生以上学历；

  2. 持工作类居留许可在中国企业工作。

（二）无博士学历的华人

  1. 持工作类居留许可在中国企业工作满4年。

每年在中国境内实际居住累计不少于6个月。

Ⅰ. Overseas Chinese with Ph.D.

（1）Have a doctoral degree or above;

（2）Work in a Chinese company with work-based residence permit.

Ⅱ. Overseas Chinese without Ph.D.

（1）Have been working for 4 consecutive years in the Chinese company with work-based residence permit;

（2）Actual residence in China not less than 6 months per year.

团聚类

（一）与中国国籍居民结婚的（夫妻团聚类）

 1.  与中国公民或者在中国获得永久居留资格的外国人结婚的；

 2.  婚姻关系存续满5年的；

 3.  在中国连续居留满5年，每年在中国居留不少于9个月；

 4.  有稳定的生活保障和住所的。

（二）年满60周岁投靠中国国籍亲属的(亲属投靠类)

 1.  在境外无直系亲属，投靠境内直系亲属的；

 2.  在中国连续居留满5年，每年在中国居留不少于9个月；

 3. 有稳定的生活保障和住所的。

Ⅰ. Get Married to residents of Chinese nationality（Couple reunion）.(1) Get married to a Chinese citizen or a foreigner who has obtained permanent residence in China; 

(2) More than five years marital relationship;

(3) Have been living in China for 5 years and staying at least 9 months per year;

(4) Have a stable living guarantee and domicile;

Ⅱ.Those who have reached the age of 60 and turn to relatives of Chinese nationality (Relatives reunion)

(1)Have no immediate family members abroad and rely on his/her immediate family members in China;

(2)Have been living in China for 5 years and staying at least 9 months per year;

(3) Have a stable living guarantee and domicile.

三）未成年外国人因与在中国的父母团聚（亲子团聚类）

 1. 父母一方或双方为中国公民（具有中国国籍的）或者为具有在中国永久居留资格的外国人；

 2. 未满18周岁且未婚；

 3. 经国籍审定具有外国国籍的。

Ⅲ. Underage foreigners are reunited with their parents in China (Parent-child reunion)

(1) One or both parents are Chinese citizens (with Chinese nationality) or foreigners with permanent residence in China; 

(2)Under 18 years old and unmarried; 

(3) Have foreign nationality after determined by nationality verification;

高端人才类

（一）外籍高端人才（工作满三年后）

1.经所在省人才主管部门认定的外籍高层次人才或科技创新主管部门和自贸办认可企业聘雇并担保的行业高级专业外籍人才或高等院校、科研院所聘雇的外籍高层次人才;

2.申请之日前持加注“人才”的工作类居留许可连续在中国工作满3年;

3.经工作单位推荐，可以申请在华永久居留。

（二）特殊人员及其家属

凡是符合下列条件之一的外国人，可以申请在华永久居留许可（其外籍配偶和未成年的子女可随同申请）

1. 对中国经济发展和社会进步做出重大、突出贡献的;

2.对国家有重大价值的世界顶尖人才、特殊技能人才及知名人士。

Ⅰ.TOP Talents Foreigners（Have been working for 3 consecutive years）
(1) TOP Talents Foreigners recognized by the competent department of talents in current province, employed and guaranteed by enterprises approved by the competent department of Scientific and Technological Innovation of Province and  Free Trade Office, as well as  TOP Talents Foreigners employed by institutions of higher learning and scientific research institutes; 
(2) Have been working in China not less than 3 consecutive  years before the date of application; 
(3) Have been recommended by the employer.
 
Ⅱ. TOP Talents Foreigners who meet one of the following conditions may apply for permanent residence permits in China (Their foreign spouses and minor children may apply with them)

（1） Those who have made significant and outstanding contributions to China's economic development and social progress;

（2）The world's top talents, special skilled talents and famous people who have made significant value to the country.

投资及创业类

（一）创新创业团队的外籍成员和企业选聘的外籍技术人才

 1. 取得外专局出具的相关积分评估证明函；

 2. 在企业工作满4年。

Ⅰ  Entrepreneur 
（1） Obtain a letter of proof of relevant points assessment issued by the Bureau of Foreign Affairs. 

（2）Work in the enterprise for 4 years.

（二）在中国投资的外国人
